Exploration of various stain colours and their effects on seven different species of Canadian woods. The woods been studied are Cedar, White Oak, White Pine, Ash, Maple, Walnut, and Douglas Fir. 

 

The aim of this design was to create a tactile object that allows viewer to engage with the experimentation that was studied. Through the creative application of a hexagonal prism form, ​the design allowed for six different stain colours to be examined.
